Prinnie first launched this award-winning show in 2021 at The Queens Theatre as part of the Adelaide Fringe, and has gone on to tour the show around Australia including successful seasons at Sydney Festival and Melbourne Cabaret Festival.

LADY SINGS THE BLUES is a story about women in song; their hurts, struggles and pain; and the transformation of that pain into music. It’s a soul journey of classics that will cut through to your core, in the capable hands and vocal chords of Australia’s power ballad princess, Prinnie Stevens.

Featuring the songs of the greats like Billie Holiday, Etta James and Ella Fitzgerald; along with the modern-day voices of Toni Braxton, Whitney Houston, Beyoncé and more. Lady Sings the Blues is a powerful homage to some of the greatest women in music across the last 100 years.

We first met Prinnie, the leading lady of this show, on The Voice season 1 where she battled her best friend Mahalia Barnes and returned for season 9 as the world’s first ALL STAR return artist. Prinnie has gone on to have a hugely successful career in musical theatre starring in shows The Bodyguard, HAIR, and Thriller LIVE.

Prinnie has combined her musical theatre, pop, RnB, and soul background to create an award-winning show with beautiful music and heart. Spanning from smooth jazz/blues to massive pop anthems that only a performer like Prinnie can pull off.
