About the bands

Stormy-Lou

Stormy-Lou is an indie-rock foursome from the coast of Kaurna Land/Adelaide. Characterised by their honest style of songwriting and electric live performances, the band shares their experience as young, queer musicians living on beautiful Australian soil. For fans of Bec Stevens, Camp Cope, and Angie McMahon.

This foursome spent the start of 2024 jumping on huge festival lineups: WOMADelaide, Chilled out, Fired Up, and Swirlfest -- as well as venturing outside SA and performing alongside legendary interstate acts The Velvet Club, Beddy Rays, and The Buoys. Stormy-Lou was showcased by MusicSA in 2023 as an exciting new act out of South Australia and are set for an explosive 2024 with continued touring and the highly-anticipated release of their debut EP.

Frontwoman Mikaeli Stoker joins lead guitarist Lachlan Nesbitt, bassist Alex Taylor, and drummer Hari Starick to form Adelaide’s next big export: Stormy-Lou… the storm is coming…

Sunsick Daisy

Breathing life into the nostalgic sounds of shoegaze and dreampop are Sunsick Daisy. Formed on Kaurna Land, Adelaide SA, in late 2021, the four-piece quickly gained attention, striking audiences with their effortless energy, and firmly planting themselves as local favourites. With their unique “whammy-dream-verb” sound and new music on the way, Sunsick Daisy have caught the attention of new and soon-to-be long-time supporters nationwide. Their highly acclaimed debut release ‘Someone Like You’ placed them as finalists in Triple J’s 2022 Unearthed High competition, generating highly rated reviews from Triple J presenters and the public alike, and gaining them regular airtime and a feature artist spot on Out To Party, hosted by Triple J’s Abby Butler. Since Unearthed High, Sunsick Daisy have continued to write and record music, headlined several shows, and shared the stage with the likes of Ball Park Music, The Buoys, and Teenage Joans. With much under their belts already and no intention of stopping, this band is definitely one to watch!

Ronan

Ronan (they/them) is a singer/songwriter performing on Kaurna land.
Their songwriting is grounded in its atmosphere and longing for singularity— both in self and in creativity. They are most inspired by the 90s dream pop bands known for their ethereal nature that defied era, place, emotion and expectation. Ronan’s songwriting explores the intersection of this ethereality and the human emotion conveyed by singer/songwriters like Angel Olsen, Sharon Van Etten and Adrianne Lenker.
