13 Sept | Loopole 'Room 19' EP Launch supported by Marlin Kites and Bark

  • Corner Gilles Arcade and Playhouse Land Adelaide, SA 5000 Australia (map)

Hailing from Adelaide, Loopole are a young five-piece exhibiting an original blend of alternative rock. Previously described as indie rock and post-punk, influence from a wide range of artists including The Cure, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Smiths, Royel Otis, and Marlins Dreaming are evident in their dynamic sound, which ranges from upbeat and anthemic to dark and atmospheric.

To be released on the 6th of September, ‘Room 19’ is Loopole’s new 7 track EP, and represents their most cohesive and mature work yet. Including singles ‘Candles’, ‘In Reverse’ and ‘State of Mind’, the EP is equal parts moody and optimistic in tone, whilst spacious and driving in composition. Reflecting on young adulthood through a romantic yet honest lens, ‘Room 19’ is intensely personal yet universally relatable.

“…it’s clear that Loopole is about to make a huge impact. If people weren’t already watching, they will be soon, with ‘Candles’ destined to become a favourite amongst Australia’s rapidly re-emerging post-punk scene”

- Alex Callan, Forte Magazine

Off the back of an immense start to 2024, including support slots with Australian heavyweights such as Ocean Alley, Hockey Dad, Rum Jungle, DZ Deathrays, Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers, Polish Club and The Empty Threats, Loopole are set to continue their momentum indefinitely.
