15 November | Auspicion & Friends with Neenaw and Jack Crawford

  • Corner Gilles Arcade and Playhouse Land Adelaide, SA 5000 Australia (map)

Auspicion is made up of three brothers in music, Zed Crawford (drums), Jack Crawford (bass) and Andrew Casey (keyboards).  With years of experience in Adelaide’s music scene individually, they have joined forces to explore their creative expression through the language of jazz, dance beats and groove.  By tuning into the moment, embracing fun, and trusting their musical flow, they promise to inspire, hypnotise, excite, mesmerise, and incite your desire to dance.  We lay down the grooves – you hit the moves!

Neenaw, an original project formed by multi-award-winning vocalist and instrumentalist Courteney Hooper, is a playful amalgam of alternative folk, baroque pop and contemporary jazz. Her wholehearted compositions traverse the broad spectrum of genre and human experience, drawing from auto-biographical introspection, absurdist dream re-tellings, and a fascination with bugs. It is this idiosyncratic, sincere expression that makes Neenaw a refreshing addition to the Adelaide music scene.

Jack Crawford (solo acoustic)
"The Journey that I’ve been on in this life has taken me to all sorts of places and allowed me to play with many beautiful people, and has lead me to where I am now. Drawing from my life experience and nearly 25 years behind a guitar, the intent of my music is to engage and connect people with themselves and others in order to deepen their connection to the source that unifies us."
